Paula Creamer

It isn’t too often that a female golfer makes worldwide headlines, but Paula Creamer has recently been grabbing a lot of press attention. The twenty-two year old golfer is certainly ahead of her time, and has recently been ranked number two in the Woman’s World Golf Rankings.

As with many sports superstars, Creamer began to play golf at the young age of ten years old. By the time she hit her twelfth birthday, she had already won thirteen games at the junior events in Northern California. As soon as she joined the LPGA Tour in 2005, she impressed crowds by hitting a 17-foot birdie putt in New Rochelle, New York. Unfortunately, 2006 did not prove to be a good year thanks to many different injuries, though she did manage to gain back her footing in 2008 when she gained her fifth LGPA title.

If you haven’t heard the name “Paula Creamer” this may be partly due to the fact that she also goes by the name “Pink Panther.” This is largely due to the fact that Creamer plays with a pink club, pink ball, and dons a new pink outfit at every tournament. In fact, if you have been to a golf store lately you may have seen lots of pink accessories and clubs, which are all a direct influence of Creamer’s own personal style. Keep your ears posted for the name Paula Creamer in years to come – this twenty-two year old golf sensation has just gotten started, and she has a long way to go.
