Paula Creamer is one of the most exciting young female golfers on the LGPA circuit. The 21 year old golfer won the Rookie of the Year award in 2005, and has a total of nine professional wins already. She started the sport at only age 10, and started entering serious competitions when she was 12. She picked up a total of 19 amateur victories during her career, clearly setting her aside from the masses.
Her first season was really a breakout for her, as she climbed to the top ranks rapidly. She was the fastest and youngest player in the LGPA to make $1 million in tournament winnings. That wasn't easy to top. In the following season, she suffered from wrist injuries that hampered her ability to bring in wins. She didn't gain a single victory that year as she recovered from her injuries. In 2007, the maturing golfer won two LGPA tournaments. She's nicknamed "pink panther" because of her penchant for wearing that color on the course.
In February 2008, she won the Fields Open in Hawaii, her fifth LPGA tour in a come from behind victory. On July 14th, she won the Farr Classic by two points. She has expressed very little interest in competing against men, as Michelle Wie and Annika Sorenstam have attempted. She'll be entering the British Open, competing against other female golf stars like Anika Sorenson and Michelle Wie. The LPGA is certainly heating up thanks to fresh young golfers like Creamer.
