Paula Creamer was born on August 5, 1986 in Mountain View, California. She is the only child of Paul and Karen Creamer. Paula was raised in Pleasanton, California. She lived next door to the Castlewood Country Club golf course. At the age of 10 she started playing golf at the country club golf course next door. By the time she turned 12 she had already won 13 regional junior events. At age 13 she was ranked top female junior golfer in the state.
In 2002, Paula and her parents moved to Bradenton, Florida where she could attend the IMG Academy so that she could receive golf training. She graduated from IMG Pendleton High School.
As an amateur, Paula won 19 national tournaments. In 2003, the American Junior Golf Association named her Player of the Year. In 2004, Paula won the LPGA Tour Final Qualifying Tournament qualifying her as a member of the Tour for the 2005 season. At the age of 18, she turned professional and was named the LPGA Rookie of the Year.
Because of her love for wearing pink she has been nicknamed the “Pink Panther.” Her clothes are not the only things she has that are pink. Her golf bag and club grips are also pink. On the last round of every tournament she uses a pink golf ball.
Since she turned professional, she has had 10 wins. In 2005, she won the Sybase Classic, the Evian Masters, The NEC Karuizawa 72 and the Masters GC Ladies. In 2007, she won the SBS Open at Turtle Bay and The Mitchell Company Tournament of Champions. In 2008, she won the Fields Open in Hawaii, the SemGroup Championship, the Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic and the Samsung World Championship.
