Annika Sorenstam was born in Sweden back in 1970 on October 9th. Annika has won 10 major championships and has many other awards to go along with that. She is very good at what she does and is a member of the World Hall Of Fame. All of Annika’s winnings have been since 1991 right up through 2007. Word has it that she will retire at the end of 2008.
Did you know that Annika is making around 11 million dollars and is on the Forbes list ranking 6th? She is currently behind Wie by only 1 million dollars.
Annika has made a decision to give up being a competitive golfer and if she doesn’t change her mind this will be the last season for her to be playing. She said her goodbyes while playing at the British Open, by signing hats and shirts for all of her fans. Annika shot a 70 in the last round of the Women’s British Open championship golf tournament to end her career in professional golf. She ended up in 38th place after the third round. Annika started the first round with a 72 and then shot a 72 in the second round leaving her in 59th place. After winning 72 titles she has called it quits.
Along with playing golf, Annika also has a collection of clothing for the sports women. The clothing does not only provide for the golfer, but she has also everyday clothing for that special woman that wants comfort.
