Paula Creamer has the nickname of the Pink Panther. This is because she always wears pink and has a Pink Panther head cover on her diver and sometimes uses pink balls. This 21-year-old Mountain View, California native started golfing at the age of 10. As a top player in the junior level she had 11 wins in the AJGA and was the player of the year in 2003.
At the age of 17, Paula tied for 13th in the U.S. Women’s open and placed second at the LPGA Tour’s ShopRite Classic. In 2003-04 Paula was in 10 LPGA tournaments as an amateur, and finished in the top 20 in five of them. In her rookie season of 2005 she had two wins, 11 top 10 postings finishing second on the money list. All before she finished high school making her the 3rd youngest winner in the history of LPGA.
Paula would like to be known for more than her winning golf tournaments and her love for the color pink. She is involved in programs like The First Tee of Sarasota/Manatee. The First Tee uses golf to teach youngsters core values of honesty, sportsmanship confidence and responsibility. Paula started working with this program in 2005. She has established one-year scholarships to Pendleton and the DLGA for two of The First Tee students. In 2007, while the LPGA was in Hawaii Paula fulfilled a wish for Make A Wish Foundation. One of her fans Katie a 12-year-old battle cancer. Paula visited with the Anderson family and spoke about golf.
