Golf is not just for men anymore. Women like to play the game too and some are even pro's. Paula Creamer is one of them. Paula is 22 years old and is a professional golfer. In 2005, she had the title of Rookie of the Year. She has seven wins with the LPGA tour having nine professional wins. Paula Creamer is 25th on the LPGA's all time money list. She earned more than five million dollars in the four seasons she was on tour. Paula is nicknamed the Pink Panther, because she wears the color often. As far as the Women's World Golf Rankings go she is in the top five for the year of 2008.
There is women in The British Open! Lorena Ochoa won the Open title last year and is ready to defend her title this year. Lorena is from Guadalajara. Many people and relatives came to her house, not to see her but to see the trophy. Annika Sorenstam is another player in the British Open. Annika is thinking that this year will be the last of a long and astronomical career. Helen Alfredsson is also a veteran player.
It appears we have a twist in the LPGA. Tired of seeing these women in the same old thing? Well, a modeling agency is trying to glamorize the LPGA. Dieter Esch decided it would be a great idea to put the golfers in something different. How about evening gowns, or lingerie and even bikinis. He thought it was a perfect way to show the world that there are sexy, athletic women who can play.
