Since Tiger Woods is undergoing surgery on his knee, and will not be able to compete for the rest of the season it opens the door for the other professionals. Now maybe there will be a chance for Phil Mickelson to catch up a little with Tiger? The other top players on the green that don’t have to look over their shoulder for Tiger Woods would be Retief Goosen, Vijay Singh, Sergio Garcia, Adam Scott, Lee Westwood, just to name a few. Everything is looking bright for the other professionals, anyone now has an opportunity to claim a major win with not having to be on Tiger time.
The PGA Championship, which is at Oakland Hills has adopted the slogan “Glory’s Last Shot,” because this is the players best chance for a major break through. The few that have the best chance of winning at Oakland Hills would have to be Padraig Harrington, European guys including Paddy, showed us how to party when they won the Ryder Cup here in 2004, good times.
