Daughter of Katie and Art Leon, Taylor was born March 10, 1987. She has two brothers, Trent and Tyler, and they love golf, being collegiate golfers at Oklahoma State University. Taylor first started swinging the club as a 7 year-old. She was influenced by her father and brothers. Taylor grew up to be a 5'9" woman with a passion for watching Georgia Bulldog football.
Taylor was selected First Team All-American by a golf magazine and a Second Team choice by NGCA while leading the Bulldogs in most of their female golfers’ statistics. The 2008 season is getting hot for the lady golfers around the nation and the world. Womem golfers have come a long way since the days they were first starting to get recognized as a viable athlete. Nowadays, there are tournaments for the amateurs, and junior amateurs (AJGA), including the U.S Girls’ Junior Golf Championship. In 1999, at 12 years old, Taylor was named the youngest golfer in the field. Now this young lady has many options ahead of her, as she recently signed with Brooks Brothers, becoming the first female golfer endorsing a line of clothes. According to Brooks Brothers chairman and CEO Del Vecchio, Taylor is a natural fit. Additionally, she represents Adams Golf and Aegon.
For her rookie year, Taylor Leon has non-exempt status. She has gotten into 8 tournaments and finished 14th in one of them. Taylor earned her first professional win in the 2007 Futures Tour American Systems International.
