Paula Creamer and her First Years of Golfing

Paula Creamer was born in Mountain View, California on August 5, 1986. She started playing golf at the age of 10. In 2000 she moved to Florida so she could attend the IMG Golf Academy. She still resides in Florida.

During her years of playing amateur golf she won 11 American Junior Golf Association events and a total of 19 titles. Paula turned professional in 2005 and that year she won four events, including two in Japan. She was also named Rookie of the Year in 2005.

In 2006 Creamer was plagued by foot and wrist problems and she did not win any events.

By 2007 she was faring much better, she won two LPGA tour titles. She also finished in the top ten 13 times for the year. In 2008 she won her fifth LPGA title.

As a professional golfer she has done very well money wise. In her rookie year she earned over 1.5 million dollars and over a million dollars the next year even with her injuries. In 2007 she again earned over 1.3 million dollars. As of October 2008, Paula has earned more than 5.7 million dollars since turning professional in 2005.

While Paula was still an amateur, her friend nicknamed her the Pink Panther, and that name has continued with her in her professional career. She always wears a pink outfit and has pink golf accessories. One of her sponsors even provides her with a pink ball to use during the last round of every tournament.
